Join us in congratulating CSHP and IU SPH doctoral student, Sina Kianersi.
Sina was recently awarded first place for the Big Idea Challenge research grant for his project: Validation of Wrist-Worn Alcohol Monitors for Alcohol Use Data Collection in Undergraduate College Students. The Prevention Insights Big Idea Challenge, funded through Prevention Insights at the Indiana University School of Public Health, awards IU students with a $1,000 scholarship and up to $10,000 in research funding "to develop an innovative approach to addressing some of the most complex issues facing the US today: substance use and mental health."
Sina’s project directly aligns with his larger research program involved in understanding the intersection of alcohol and sexual behavior on college campuses.
Congratulations on this outstanding achievement, Sina!
